Words Written – I Often…

I’d love to describe this as poetry but the truth is I don’t know what to class this as. To me, these are words that have poured out at 1am from brain to paper… Several of my “pieces” have been dedicated to a special somebody we lost 4 years ago. Some days I miss him so much I don’t know how else to project other than through writing it all down.

I hope these words can bring comfort to somebody who has lost a special somebody, for we never truly stop missing them x

I often wonder
If you can see me
Not as the girl I was,
But as the woman I'm becoming.
I often imagine
What we'd discuss
Not as the girl I was,
But as the woman I'm becoming.
I often hope
You'd be oh-so proud
Not of the girl I used to be,
But of the woman I'm striving towards.
I often wish
You were here
To make new memories.
Not with the girl I was,
But with the woman I now am.
I often miss
Our belly laughs over silly things
And successful prank pulling.
Both as the girl I was,
And as the woman I know you're proud of.
